SDGs Donate Ambulances Furnitures To Ekiti Schools Hospitals

Four new Ambulances have been donated to Ekiti State by the Sustainable Development Goals, (SDG's) .

In the same vein, 259 units of furnitures materials were also distributed to some select schools in the state .The items will be distributed to some select schools and hospitals in the srate ,

The Secretary of SDG's in the state, Mr Olukayode Adunmo,while handing over the items said it was captured under the 2018 SDG:s to State Project.

It was done in partnership with office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDG's,.

The distribution, was made at a brief ceremony,, in Ado Ekiti, by the duo of the Secretary of SDG's in the state, Mr Olukayode Adunmo and the Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor, on SDG's, Mrs Abimbola Solanke, in line with COVID-19 regulations,

It also distributed, were a total of 250 chairs and tables, for some select primary schools in the state as well as medical equipments for hospital

He gave names of the benefiting hospitals and towns to include; Comprehensive Health Centre, Ogotun Ekiti, in Ekiti South West LGA, Basic Health Centre, Ayegbaju Ekiti, in Oye LGA, Primary Health Care Centre, Ijero Ekiti, in Ijero LGA and Primary Health Care Centre, Osun Ekiti, in Moba LGA.

He said the benefitting hospitals are also to deploy the different kinds of medical equipments, in making the people assessable to sound health.

According to him, the 250 chairs and tables, also to be distributed to schools in the four local governments, consist of 195 plastic chairs and tables and 55 wooden chairs and tables.

He said formal handing over of all the items to the hospitals and schools are to be done at a later date.

Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor, on SDG's, Mrs Abimbola Sokanke, lauded the Federal and State Governments' partnership on SDG's, saying the programme had brought a new lease of life to the people.

She assured that the SDG's in the state, would continue to deliver on its targets by ensuring that quality jobs are done on projects, and standards maintained in all purchases.
