Goods worth lakhs gutted at showroom

Jalandhar, April 16

Goods worth lakhs gutted in a furniture showroom at Makhdumpura locality in Shastri Nagar here after a fire broke out last night.

Panic was created in the area after the incident that was reported around 10 pm in Nanda Furnitures. Three LPG cylinders and an oxygen cylinder were also damaged.

A four-wheeler also turned into ashes after it caught fire. However, no casualty was reported as around six teams of fire personnel reached the spot on time. It took over two hours to control the fire. — TNS
